Dear lacrosse families,

Kelowna Minor Lacrosse is planning for return to lacrosse activities in the field modality. We are setting up the registration process for our membership and we hope to have the registration page up and running by the middle of July (maybe even before).

As we are living with a new reality with COVID-19 the offering for next season will abide by the protocols set by the BC Health Authority, Via Sport and the City of Kelowna.

As of now, as per BCLA lacrosse association, we are in Phase 1 of return to sport. Once we move on to Phase 2 (which will happen during the summer) we will be able to have lacrosse activities aimed at drills and skills (as defined by ViaSport return to sport document).

We would like to make our membership aware that any organization/entity (private or community) that doesn’t abide by current return to sport guidelines will not be able to book facilities at all. Therefore, Kelowna Minor Lacrosse, is abiding to all COVID-19 (BC Health Authority), ViaSport, and BC Lacrosse guidelines. By doing so, we make sure that we can book facilities within our municipality and hence provide activities for our membership within those guidelines.

We are looking forward to having you back this season. The registration fees will be reduced from last year’s, as the activities we will be offering are different from what they normally are due to COVID-19 and ViaSport return to sport protocol. More information on that regard will be sent once the registration page is up and running.

If you happen to have any questions regarding our return to sport plans please feel free to email kmla.fieldlax@gmail.com or kmla.president@gmail.com.
